Diamond: Red has made this kid a rival. It would be a little off to call them absolute enemies - they somehow manage to keep a peaceable relationship. Red is just extremely irked by the fact that good things come to Diamond when he makes seemingly no effort. It sets the brunette's competitive nature off. Diamond is not a "legal" student at the academy, and Red will often throw that fact in his face during a heated argument. Not that he would ever do anything with this information, of course. Red actually enjoys the competitive, aggressive nature of their friendship and would like to keep him around.
White: Red can't remember exactly what he did to turn White against him, other than to notice that White feels contempt toward all people. He's not going to make any major moves to heal the relationship, because he thinks White doesn't want to get to know him anyway.
Emerald: He's sorry about stumbling upon her half naked... and that's about all of the interaction they've had.
Blue: Red views her as nothing more than an acquaintance, for the moment anyway. The boy knows she associates with the likes of Khaki and Quartz, so he marks her off as a material girl. She’s never said anything negative about him, however, so she registers as neutral.
Sapphire: Red is happy to make friends with anyone who thinks Diamond is only mediocre. Since they're both kind of shy and quiet around each other, he doesn't know much else about her personality.
Rose: These two share a very odd friendship. Rose seems to be convinced that Red is her future husband, and constantly puts him in awkward and often humiliating situations. Red has learned to tread lightly around her feelings toward him or it could mean physical harm. He gets a kick out of her fun personality, though. He’ll put up with her antics because of his laid-back personality and the amusement he finds in them. The boy regards her as the little sister he never had.
Crystal: He thinks he likes her, but they've had so few interactions it's hard to tell. The status of this relationship is dependent on the actions of Crystal. Red's not going to make moves anytime soon.Hard Numbers
Health: 96% (Healthy)
Health Defects: No defects per se, but there are a couple noteworthy scars on his person. He has a set of canine teeth scars on his right hand, on the palm and the back, that occurred when he was capturing Bane. There is also a small scar about two inches long on his right hip from the same incident.
Blood Type: O+
Height: 5’11"
Weight: 157 lbs
Physical Stature: His height is in his genes. Red's father is a staggering six foot three, and his mother is certainly not short. He has an angular face with a strong jawline. He sports a greek nose, one whose bridge is completely straight and continues the line of the forehead. The eyes are the most striking feature on his face. They maintain the same brown hue of his hair, with the red tones more subdued. Red’s eyes usually have a look of warmth to them, even when angry or saddened. Most of his face, however, is hidden behind a shaggy curtain of russet-brown hair. The boy takes a rather laissez-faire attitude towards hairstyles and for the most part just lets it grow out. His bangs reach down to the tops of his cheekbones, and descend low enough to match his jawline. The rest of the hair grows forward and layers itself. Red wears his hair long down his neck, but it is by no means a mullet. The tips end at the top of the shoulder line. The shoulders themselves are good and broad, lending to a broad chest and rib cage. He's got enough bulk not to be considered lanky, but he is by no means a muscular figure. And for a boy who likes the starchy foods that he does, it's a wonder he's not overweight. The muscles are there all right, but they're not chiseled to perfection. They don't really even add that many lines to his shape. Red is cool enough to have fairly flexible hands and hitchhiker's thumb from his mother's side. His legs open out into big feet, which shouldn't be too uncommon on a boy his height. The big toes point upward, while the rest lie flat. The boy has low arches, too, that cause pain during long walks. Red is one of those people who seems to have excellent circulation and is always warm to the touch.
Outward Appearance: Red is not one to follow any sort of fashion trend or fad. Despite this fact, his dress isn't anything too odd or displeasing. He really likes collared shirts, and will usually have one on, either over a t-shirt or buttoned up by itself. Stripes are preferred, but he'll make do with solids or plaid. Red has one coat and only one coat that is supposed to make due for all sorts of weather. It is reminiscent of an aviator's jacket - chestnut brown leather, dark brown trim, and baggier than anything. The colors are certainly faded in some spots from use. It's seen thick and thin of Red's trainer days and will certainly stick around for his time as a Deviant. No matter what may be on his top half, the boy is never caught in anything but jeans. It's doubtful that he even owns a pair of pants that aren't denim. Granted, they are the easiest article of clothing to wear while traveling, and he hasn't broken the habit. Jeans are also the easiest to get a belt through, which is where Red keeps his pokéballs. On the academy grounds, he can be seen with a tan messenger satchel slung over one shoulder. Of course, there's not really much in it. He would carry books there, if he studied, or classwork if he tried in school.
Reference Sheet:Psychosis
Personality: Red is, generally, a happy person. Often there's a relaxed smile on his face that denotes contentment and interest. He has the kind of personality that wants to take charge of a situation and feels restrained when he's not made the leader. His leadership skills are decent for a boy his age, but could use a bit of grooming. He's fairly friendly and has decent social skills. As a first impression, one might find Red pleasant and agreeable. He has a certain charm that makes you feel like you can trust him.
Not that he isn't those things - the boy just isn't perfect, after all. Red is very pigheaded and not one to accept change. He follows his own intuition and isn't afraid to disobey orders if he thinks they're somehow inappropriate or unjust. He's opinionated and won't hesitate to defend his point of view. Although not usually one for confrontation, he takes attacks on his beliefs as personal attacks, and attacks back. Red fails to censor his thoughts when he's angry, so the occasional mean or hurtful comment will slip out. These occur in his normal speech as well, because Red hates to beat around the bush. He thinks the only way to be understood is to come right out and say what's on your mind. Some appreciate his honesty, and others take offense to his curt statements. Although straightforward, Red maintains a high degree of politeness in all of his conversations. There's even a wavering air of politeness when he talks to his family members.
Although his personality is, on occasion, hard to get along with, you'll never met a more faithful companion. There's nothing more important to him than his friends. He's loyal to a fault, and this undying devotion has gotten him into thorny situations before. Red will take the word of a friend above other opinions, and this makes it rather easy to jerk him around. It's easy to earn his trust because he believes there's good in all people. Red has an optimistic view on life.
In spite of all this, there appears to be something about estrogen that makes him shut down. Maybe it's some unresolved issues with his mother, or his Aunt Peach... but whatever it is, it has turned Red into a gynophobe. Whenever he's the only male in the vicinity, he gets really shy and quiet and refuses to make eye contact with anyone. It gets especially bad when he's alone with a female. It's not just the attractive girls - he feels uneasy around all women.
Likes: Onigiri, music, smell of clean cotton, video games
Dislikes: Superiority complexes, seeing his friends hurt, reality television, cats

Voice: (Sample) Red's voice is on the lower end of the spectrum, but it would be a severe overstatement to call it deep. There's a certain smooth and rich quality to it that can only be explained by his heritage: the boy has a Texan-style southern accent, as is common of most Goldenrod City natives.
Battle Strategy: He believes in brawn over brains and has a relatively strong Pokémon team. The boy's battles usually start with Rossetta, his torkoal, to set up stealth rocks and put the opponent's pokémon to sleep so he can bring out something like Nu or Buddy. There's little strategy otherwise in his battling style. Red is somewhat knowledgeable about type match ups, but those are usually ignored for a hit-'em-with-your-strongest strategy.
Mental Prowess: Red is smart, and insightful, when he stops to think. He has a knack for spotting when people are lying to him or otherwise insincere about their statement. His father has made a lot of false promises to the boy, so he's had practice. Red slides by as an average student, mostly because he doesn't put a ton of effort into his studies. There is the ability to rationalize and problem solve, even if his grades don't reflect it. Whenever he's in deep thought, he'll often press his right thumb against his lips and stare down.
Random Facts: He's a guitarist; been playing since he was around thirteen or fourteen. Red has a manual fixation - his hands feel the need to be in motion constantly, so he fiddles with whatever objects are in them. To accompany his unease around women, Red has a mild fear of large bodies of water.Partners in Crime
